Hello! My name is Jessica Redekop. Originally from Vancouver, I now call the Saskatchewan prairies home. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014, majoring in studio art. (I had transferred from the School of Interactive Systems and Design at Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in design.)
Ever since I can remember, I have had a fascination with design. As a child, I hoarded items with beautiful design, from magazine ads to beverage containers to clothing tags. Going into high school, I discovered the world of HTML, CSS, and Photoshop, and spent much of my free time designing my own websites.
When I left high school and went into post-secondary, I spent a lot of time soul searching and bouncing from program to program, trying to find a subject that was the right fit. My heart led me back to design, and I decided to take the road less travelled and follow my dream of starting my own design studio.
I now focus on branding, print design and paper cut art. My work has been featured in juried art markets, such as Etsy: Made in Canada, as well as exhibitions, such as On the Fence (Salle Seguin, Saskatoon) and Out of the Box (Gordon Snelgrove Gallery, Saskatoon).
